IRCTC has introduced a new scheme called as the E-Wallet scheme for booking train tickets online. Now a days it is a big hassle to book train tickets online due to heavy network traffic. Online ticket booking is a lengthy process where the user has to go through payment gateway for debit and credit cards to book his ticket. This E-Wallet scheme will reduce the time taken to book a ticket online.
Customers has to have a valid IRCTC account and need to deposit money in their account. This money can be used to book train ticket online through IRCTC in future. This eliminates the process of Payment through debit or credit cards. This process normally takes very long and most of the time customers get stuck in the payment gateway when booking ticket online.

How to register for E-Wallet scheme in IRCTC
1. Visit irctc.co.in2. Enter your username and password
3.After logging in on the left-side you can see an option called ewallet
4. Click on “Click to register” link for eWallet registration
5. Next you need to verify your PAN card.
6. After verification, payment page will appear for payment of eWallet Registration fee
7. You need to pay Rs 250/- as registration fee
8. After payment you will get a successful registered message.
How to Deposit for E-Wallet scheme in IRCTC
1. Visit irctc.co.in2. Enter your username and password
3. Select Ewallet deposit option that will be shown after you are successfully registered.
4. Enter the amount you wish to deposit and the payment option.
5. Minimum deposit amount is Rs 100/- and maximum amount is Rs 5000/-.
6. After successful deposit you will get a successful message.
7. You can view the deposit history by clicking the deposit history option.
How to book e-ticket through E-Wallet scheme in IRCTC
1. Visit irctc.co.in2. Enter your username and password
3. After you input plan my travel and reach the Payment Gateway page, you can get to see e-Wallet as a payment option among other payment options.
4. select Ewallet option for payment and enter your transaction password.
5. Thats it, your ticket will be booked.
